First Week

There is so much I want to share with everyone that I don't even know where to start! But well start off with where I am living. I have a wonderful host family Kate and Igor. I'm determined to get Igor to watch despicable me at some point while I am here. They have a very small 2 bedroom apartment but it is so cute! I will post a tour of the house at some point before I leave. Next my school and transportation. Everyday I ride the trolly to Lukyanivska where I walk about 6 blocks to the center school where I teach.  I love walking there especially in this wonderful weather we have been having. This week we have been finishing up training though so I had to ride the trolly to Lukyanivska where I got on the metro to go to the Pozniaky school. It was quite the adventure doing it for the first time by myself but I managed to not get lost and am feeling rather proud of myself! I also got to teach my first class today! I teach from age 4-13. I teach Kindergarten, Catch-up, Basic Reading, and Math. The kids are so much fun and I already love them! I look forward to teaching everyday and I can't wait for the end of the semester so I can see their progress. (I know blog posts are boring without pictures but I will add some later on this week, promise) Ukraine is seriously the best I love it more and more here everyday!
