Ice Ice Baby.

Although not a Christmas tradition, this is still one of those things that I do every year with my family and my girl friends. Sure ice skating is year round and maybe not that cool but this one is an outdoor rink in Bellevue which everybody knows makes it that much cooler. Actually the ice is really bad and none of my friends really know how to ice skate, but it is a great memory we make every year. Because friends that fall on there butts together, stay together. So yet again another year of ice skating, and we'll do it again next year.

Farm Girl

Today was a big day for me on the farm. Okay well it may not really be a farm, and it really may not be that exciting but don't burst my bubble. We've had this big red tractor since I was a little girl and it hasn't worked for years. But with the help of my Dad, and the missionaries they got it up and running. Then came the time for me to learn to drive it. What a scary yet exciting moment for me. I got to drive it all the way to the gas station to fill up and back on the road and then got to drive it around the pasture a little. When it came time to actually do something useful with the tractor I wasn't feeling so brave so I hoped off and gave Elder Rasmussen a turn. But decided to hop on the back of the other tractor with Elder Cox and do some damage with a back hoe. Which is more fun than I imagined. After a few hours of clearing out blackberry bushes I had my fill of farm work.

Merry Christmas

Christmas, Christmas, Christmas! The most exciting morning of the year. I always walk out to a wondrous display of presents from "Santa". With many more under the tree waiting for me. I am never disappointed in all the great things I get for Christmas. This year my main and favorite present would have to be my record player. But what I love even more was just spending time with my family. Not to mention the delicious cinnamon roles we have every Christmas Morning with hot cocoa. But as much as I love the worldly Christmas traditions with presents and candy I love my savior Jesus Christ even more.  It is so important to remember his birth on this special day and all he has done for me and all of his children. I have been so blessed to have such amazing heavenly parents and to have been born into an equally as amazing early family. They have given me everything I could ever ask for. Unconditional love, support, a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and have taught me so well. I will never be able to give them anything close to as great as everything they have given me but just always let them know they are loved and appreciated. I hope they everyone had a great Christmas and remembered the true reason for this wondrous day.

Chritstmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve! I could not be any happier to be home for Christmas with my wonderful family. I mean just look at all those presents under the tree. Who wouldn't be excited about that? But of course one of those lovely boxes had to contain my Christmas pajamas that I open every year on Christmas Eve. This year I got lucky and got two pairs. What a wonderful time of the year.

Christmas Traditions

You can never get to old to climb up on your Daddy's shoulders to put the star on the Christmas tree. One of the many perks of being an old child, I get to do this every single year. This is without a doubt one of my favorite Christmas time traditions.

Christmas Lights

Oh what fun it is to go to Salt Lake City Utah and visit temple square around Christmas time. College is so great, you can plan spontaneous trips with your friends and have tons of fun. Going to temple square and seeing all the lights, especially when its snowing is one of the prettiest things I've seen.  Kelly, Shad, his date, my boyfriend Zach and me had such a great time. We stayed at his sisters house, which is gorgeous and she has the most adorable little baby. Saw a movie, went and saw all the lights and went out to dinner. Plus a good fire and water Christmas show. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my first semester of college. My next adventure will be going back home for break. Woo hoo!
